[July 21, 2004] - NOW IT BEGINS: THE FIRST TEST BY HOMOSEXUALS MARRIED IN MASSACHUSETTS OF ANOTHER STATE'S MARRIAGE LAWS - A lesbian couple is suing the federal government in an effort to get Florida's Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) declared unconstitutional. All it takes is one activist liberal judge to declare Florida's DOMA unconstitutional to allow for the homosexual agenda to succeed again in bypassing the elected legislature and the will of the people. This is why a federal amendment to the Constitution is necessary in order to rein in activist, liberal, legislating judges.
[July 14, 2004] - PRESIDENT CLINTON'S FORMER LABOR SECRETARY IN EFFECT SAYS THAT CHRISTIANS ARE MORE DANGEROUS THAN TERRORISM - Former Labor Secretary Robert Reich authored a column in the American Prospect journal in which he writes that those who believe in Scriptures and a "higher authority" than humans (i.e. God) are more dangerous than the terrorists. Since the terrorists are Muslims that means that Reich is referring to Bible-believing Christians (although Orthodox Jews could be included by his definition). The following is an excerpt from his column: "The great conflict of the 21st century will not be between the West and terrorism. Terrorism is a tactic, not a belief. The true battle will be between modern civilization and anti-modernists; between those who believe in the primacy of the individual and those who believe that human beings owe their allegiance and identity to a higher authority; between those who give priority to life in this world and those who believe that human life is mere preparation for an existence beyond life; between those who believe in science, reason, and logic and those who believe that truth is revealed through Scripture and religious dogma. Terrorism will disrupt and destroy lives. But terrorism itself is not the greatest danger we face." The sad thing is that Robert Reich is not alone in his belief that Christianity is more dangerous than the Islamic terrorists. I wonder if Mr. Reich is aware of the numerous hospitals and colleges that were built and supported by Christians in our country. The terrorists kill people because of the terrorist's beliefs in the Quran. I do agree with Mr. Reich that the greatest danger to this country is not terrorism but the growing rejection of the God and Creator of the human race by more and more Americans. Robert Reich's Excerpted Column
[July 14, 2004] - ACTIVISTS JUDGES WIN AS SENATE DECLINES TO VOTE ON THE FEDERAL MARRIAGE AMENDMENT - The U.S. Senate voted not to proceed on passing the Federal Marriage Amendment (FMA) to the Constitution. The liberals in this country continued their disingenuous reasons for opposing this amendment. Sen. Tom Daschle said that marriage is a union between one man and one woman and that his state has already passed a law confirming that principle. He knows however, that it only takes one activist judge to overturn that law by declaring it unconstitutional. The other argument liberals use to oppose the FMA is that it is dangerous to "mess" with the Constitution. The Supreme Court in 1973 "messed" with the Constitution when they declared that the Constitution allows abortion. I must conclude from this line of reasoning that the Founding Fathers erred when they made an allowance for the Constitution to be amended. Can anyone really expect God to bless America when we kill millions of unborn babies year after year and now will be flaunting our homosexual sins before Him with our government's sanction?
[May 27, 2004] - ACLU CONTINUES ANTI-CHRISTIAN AGENDA BY DEMANDING THAT LOS ANGELES CHANGE THEIR OFFICIAL CITY SEAL - The ACLU is demanding that the city of Los Angeles remove a cross that appears on its official city seal. The seal was adopted by city leaders in 1957. The seal also contains other historical images that reflect L.A.'s heritage. The dominating image on the seal is the Roman goddess Pomona but the ACLU has no objection to this religious symbol. Once again the ACLU is demonstrating its anti-Christian bias and agenda by raising the issue of removing the cross from the seal. [May 17, 2004] - BYE, BYE MISS AMERICAN PIE - In 1972 Don Mclean wrote a song called "American Pie" in which he lamented the turn that rock and roll music had taken. The lyrics reflected the idea that since Rock music lyrics evolved into songs that spoke of drugs and sex that America was on a downslide. One line in particular illustrated the songwriter's negative outlook on American culture. It stated, "The Father, Son and Holy Ghost caught the last train for the coast." With homosexual marriages now being legal in part of America (thanks to the liberal, activist, unconstitutional judges in Massachusetts) I believe God will be heading for the coast of America to leave us to our own devices. Starting with the removal of school prayer in the early 1960's, followed by the sexual rebellion of the late sixties, and then by the legalization of abortion (i.e. killing of unborn unborn babies) in the United States in 1973, and now flaunting our homosexual sins as a nation before Him I believe the United States is on the edge of judgment. The only thing that I can see stopping God from judging our nation is the fact that America supports the nation of Israel. God stated in the Bible that He will bless those who bless Abraham's descendants (i.e. the Jews) and will curse those who curse the Jews. The day America turns its back on Israel will be the day that God will turn His back on America.
[May 10, 2004] - THE FACE OF THE ABORTION MOVEMENT - This cover photo on the May 8, 2004 issue of World Magazine illustrates the hatred that pervades the pro-abortion movement. This pro-abortion demonstrator's sign states that she is going to be a doctor. So much for the kind, compassionate doctor who heals and preserves life instead of ending it.
