I believe that the killing of terrorist leaders by a government to hinder that terror organization's operations is justified by the very nature of terror warfare. Of course there will be retaliatory attacks by the terrorists and then retaliatory attacks by Israel etc. The issue is that no matter what concessions the Israeli government gives to the Palestinians the Islamic extremists will never stop their attacks on Israel. This is because the Islamists believe that the Israelis are living on land that Allah gave to the Muslims. Their Qu'ran mandates that they conquer all lands that Allah gives to them. The Israelis could give each Palestinian a million-dollar home in their own Palestinian state and a million dollars spending money yet the Islamic terrorists would continue to attack the Israelis trying to drive them off the land of Israel and into the Mediterranean Sea. The only solution to the Israeli/Palestinian crisis will occur when Jesus Christ comes again to set up His kingdom in Jerusalem. The following is an excerpt from that article: [The testimony has been explosive from the start. An anonymous abortionist testified about what he observed during a partial-birth abortion: "What they did, they delivered the fetus intact until the head was lodged in the cervix," the doctor said. "Then they reached up and crushed it. They used forceps to crush the skull." "Like a cracker that they use to crack a lobster shell?" Judge Casey asked regarding the forceps. The doctor answered, "Like an end of tongs you use to pick up a salad, except they are thick enough and heavy enough to crush the skull." Judge Casey responded, "Except in this case you are not picking up a salad, you are crushing a baby's skull." Then Judge Casey asked, "The fetus is still alive at this point?" "Yes, sir." "The fingers of the baby opened and closed?" "I did not observe the hands when I observed the procedure." "Were the feet moving?" "Yes, sir, until the skull was crushed."] In this article it reports that the judge asked the abortionist if the mother of the "fetus" is told in plain English how this procedure is performed. [Apr 4, 2004] - USE OF THE TERM "FETUS" CONTINUES TO BE BIGGEST LIE EVER PERPETRATED UPON THE AMERICAN PEOPLE - There are currently underway three trials that are trying to block the law that makes partial-birth abortions illegal in the United States. The article "Abortion of intact fetus can help women grieving over failed pregnancies, doctor testifies" quotes the testimony of Amos Grunebaum who is a specialist in maternal fetal medicine at New York Hospital. Mr. Grunebaum states more than 95 percent of the women he has treated who must give up their pregnancies in the second trimester "really, really, really wanted to have a baby." He said doctors used to hide the fetus from women after an abortion before studies in the late 1970s and early 1980s showed that women grieved less after a failed pregnancy if they get to see the fetus. "It is the same as any baby dying. People want to hold the fetus," he said, adding that he goes so far as to put a cap on the head of the fetus just as he would a newborn. I find it interesting how Mr. Grunebaum uses the terms "baby" and "fetus" interchangeably. I cannot believe that a doctor would say to a mother who wanted to have her baby, "Do you want to know whether you have a male fetus or a female fetus?" The pro-abortion side HAS to dehumanize unborn babies in order to maintain their untenable position that these are not human beings and therefore can be destroyed. The same type of dehumanization of blacks was used by people to justify slavery in the 1800's.

[Mar 26, 2004] - U.S. SENATE PASSES UNBORN VICTIMS OF VIOLENCE ACT - A bill which de facto acknowledges that an unborn baby is indeed a person was passed by the Congress of the United States. This legislation makes it a crime to harm or kill an unborn baby in the commission of a crime. Of course the legislation is schizophrenic in the fact that it excludes abortion as an attack upon the unborn baby. Hopefully, as the pro-abortion groups fear, one day America will wake up from the biggest lie ever perpetrated upon it, and make abortion illegal again. You will not mock my God. You will stop killing my generation. Rock For Life" on the back will now be allowed to wear the shirt to school. The Ann Arbor, Michigan-based Thomas More Law Center intervened on the student's behalf and successfully resolved the situation for him. "Christian Student Permitted to Wear Pro-Life Sweatshirt after Threatening Lawsuit" In a different vein a U.S. district court judge ruled that South Carolina's "Choose Life" slogan on special license plates is unconstitutional. This is another absurd ruling from an activist judge. The federal government already weighs in on the abortion issue by making it legal in the United States. [Mar 23, 2004] - PRO-LIFE PHARMACIST REFUSES TO FILL ABORTION PILL PRESCRIPTION - According to the "Pharmacists for Life International" web site a pro-life pharmacist refused to fill out a prescription for a woman who wanted the "morning after" abortion pill. You can read the story at "Complaint Filed Against Pharmacist". The woman even brought two policeman to arrest the pro-life pharmacist but they refused to take that action. I hope more Christians and pro-life people will continue to stand by their convictions in the face of the onslaught by the pro-abortion segment of our population.

SCHISM AHEAD? - The Methodist church in Ellensburg, Washington acquitted a lesbian minister of violating the church doctrine which prohibits homosexual marriage. James Heidinger, president and publisher of the Methodist publication Good News said, "I'm just stunned at this decision." He said the jury committed "intellectual dishonesty" by claiming church standards regarding homosexuality are unclear. Patricia Miller, executive director of the Confessing Movement, a conservative movement within the church that claims more than 600,000 members stated, "I believe the vast majority of United Methodists are in grief and shock today. I'm personally heartbroken." There is a major Methodist conference next month which may go the way of the Episcopal Church which currenttly is having schismatic problems because of the ordination of a homosexual bishop. IS THE U.S. NEXT? - The terrorist bombing in Spain last week, which killed 200 people and injured 1500 others, influenced the Spanish elections Sunday. The new Prime Minister stated that he would withdraw the 1300 Spanish soldiers from Iraq. This act will only embolden terrorists worldwide to continue to get world governments to cower to their demands. The problem is that terrorists will never stop (just look at Israel over the past SIX decades). According to this article an instruction book was provided to girls in grades 7 to 9 that contained a chapter that listed nine 'good reasons' why women have abortions. [Mar 5, 2004] - PETA TO DISPLAY OFFENSIVE AD COMPARING JESUS' DEATH TO THE DEATH OF PIGS - The radical animal-rights organization called "People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals"(PETA) says it is going to display a billboard during the Easter season that is offensive to Christianity. The billboard shows a pig and the words,"He died for your sins. Go vegetarian." The meaning is that pigs die because of the "sin" we commit by eating them. I cannot imagine this absurd organization using a pig in reference to Islam or Judaism to further their agenda. I hope that not only Christians are offended by this but also Jews, to whom eating a pig is an abomination, since Jesus was Jewish. You can see this ad at "PETA billboard".

[Mar 5, 2004] - L.A. TIMES TAKES POLITICAL CORRECTNESS TO A NEW, ABSURD LEVEL - A L.A. Times critic is upset with his paper's changing of "pro-life" language he used in a review of an opera. The opera, which according to the article extols motherhood, has nothing to do with abortion. The reviewer commenting on this opera said, "[This opera is] an incomparably glorious and goofy pro-life paean." He wasn't referring to abortion at all but describing an affirmation of life through motherhood. A Times' editor changed his words "pro-life" to "anti-abortion" in the printed review. The Times printed a correction but it didn't make clear that the reviewer did not write the words "anti-abortion". So they had to run another correction to correct the first correction. Is this movie God's last wake-up call to America to repent and turn to Him and His Son Jesus Christ? Several years ago Billy Graham made a profound statement saying, "If God doesn't judge America, He shall have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah."
